General terms for using the PixelGem website and for discussing website, hosting and related project work.
These website terms give a plain-English overview of how PixelGem website, hosting and related services are offered. A specific quote, proposal or agreed project scope takes priority where it contains different or more detailed terms.
Quotes and scope
Prices and timescales depend on the agreed scope. Work outside that scope may need a revised quote. Starting prices should not be read as a promise that every project can be delivered for that amount.
Client content and access
The client is responsible for supplying material they have the right to use, including logos, photographs, copy and third-party account access. Credentials should be shared through an agreed secure method rather than placed in public documents or ordinary website forms.
Approvals and changes
PixelGem will normally ask the client to review key work before launch. Material changes requested after approval may affect price or timescale.
Domains, hosting and third-party services
Domains, email, plugins, platforms and other third-party services can have their own charges and terms. Availability and behaviour of those services are outside PixelGem's direct control.
Search visibility
SEO and local-search work is intended to improve the website's usefulness, technical clarity and visibility. No ethical provider can guarantee a particular Google ranking, AI citation, enquiry volume or search outcome.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed, third-party assets remain subject to their own licences. Ownership and reuse of custom project work should follow the accepted quote or project agreement.
Liability and continuity
Reasonable care is taken when building, maintaining or migrating websites, but no website or hosting service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption. Any project-specific liability, backup, support or service commitments should be read alongside the agreed service terms.
